The Journal
Agronomy for Sustainable Development is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal publishing original experimental, empirical and theoretical research articles, review articles and meta-analyses leading to enhanced sustainability for agricultural and food systems. The journal’s objective is to interface agronomy, cropping and farming system researches with ecological, genetic, environmental, economic or social sciences. Owned by the the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment (INRAE), the journal was launched in 1981 under the French title Agronomie. The journal was greatly redesigned from 2003 to 2006, including a new title and a switch to English-only contents. It is supported by two INRAE’s divisions: Agronomy and environmental sciences for agroecosystems (AgroEcoSystem) and Sciences for action and transition (ACT).
Agronomy for Sustainable Development is published since 2011 by Springer Nature (https://www.springer.com/journal/13593).
