The HISTORISQUE project deals with the use of historical information in the field of flood hazard studies. River Guiers is studied by a team of technicians who are in charge on the following activities : history, hydrology and hydraulics.After one year, the results of the studies are the following : an almost exhaustive inventory of the archive sources, the use of half of this historical information, a first sample of historical floods during the two last centuries, a land survey on two specific areas, a methodological analysis on the different archive sources and an inventory of all methods which make use of historical information for flood frequency analysis.

Le projet HISTORISQUE s'attache à valoriser l'information historique pour une meilleure connaissance du risque d'inondation. Soutenue par le Pôle Grenoblois de Prévention des Risques Naturels, une équipe associant un historien, un hydrologue et un hydraulicien a appliqué cette démarche sur le bassin test du Guiers. Au terme d'une année d'étude, les principaux résultats obtenus sont les suivants : un inventaire pratiquement exhaustif des sources d'archives, un dépouillement à 50% de ces fonds, une première chronologie de crues depuis la fin du XVIIIème siècle, la réalisation de levés topographiques sur deux secteurs d'étude, des réflexions méthodologiques sur les différents types d'archives et une analyse bibliographique sur les méthodes de prédétermination des crues extrêmes utilisant l'information historique.
