La Luzette, un nouveau verger à graines de douglas en production

Abstract : The improved Douglas fir variety, called Luzette VG, has only been available on the market for a few years. The Luzette seed orchard, about fifteen years old, is just starting to come in production. With 34 hectares, it represents, in terms of area, a third of all French Douglas fir seed orchards and will meet, in future years, a large part of the needs. Even today, we strongly recommend to use the seed of these orchards, even though it is marketed in the framework of the current regulations under a " white label " (by derogation). It is the only legal way to spread it today among reforestation workers. Endowed with a wide genetical basis, it is the first specimen of a new generation of improved varieties.
