Résumé
Within the framework of an European contract (CI*CT94-0139) binding France, Colombia, Switzerland and Germany, the study of the interactions between volcanoes and glaciers was undertaken on the site of Nevado del Ruiz in Colombia. This volcano of which the eruption of November 1985 made 25000 died by mudflow is used as site of study for this 4 years duration contract (1995 to 1999). This article introduces the objectives, the actions in progress, the anticipated results and the partners.
Dans le cadre d'un contrat européen (CI*CT94-0139) liant la France, la Colombie, la Suisse et l'Allemagne, l'étude des interactions entre volcans et glaciers a été entreprise sur le site du Nevado del Ruiz en Colombie. Ce volcan dont l'éruption de novembre 1985 a fait 25000 morts par coulées de boue sert de site d'étude pour ce contrat d'une durée de 4 ans de 1995 à 1999. Cet article présente les objectifs, les actions en cours, les résultats escomptés et les partenaires.
