Agenda 2000 : Conséquences sur les exploitations de grandes cultures en Poitou-Charentes. Impacts sur les revenus, les assolements et alternatives pour les exploitations agricoles. Situation et perspectives pour la filière collecte en grandes cultures

Abstract : This study evaluates the consequences of the new reform of the Common Agricultural Policy on cash crop farms in the area of Poitou-Charentes (South West of France). It also identifies the different strategies of adaptation for these farms. A survey finally attempts to characterise the grain collection sector and its stakes in this new economical environment. The impact of the reform is assessed thanks to 3 complementary methods: the first simulates the evolution of the farm income from the Farm Accounting Information Network (FAIN). The second uses a linear programming model to estimate short-term adjustments on crop rotations and on farm incomes. The third one studies the regional effects of the reform using an applied regional general equilibrium approach.
