Résumé
The three institutes AFOCEL, Cemagref and INRA have gather their scientific poplar activities in a scientific group (GIS "Genetic, Breeding and Protection"). The aim is to propose and evaluate new poplar clones and to define a common breeding program.
En mars 2001, un Groupement d'Intérêt Scientifique intitulé " Génétique, Amélioration et Protection du Peuplier " a été créé. Il lie les activités des trois organismes en France spécialisés sur le sujet : l'AFOCEL, le Cemagref et l'INRA. Les axes stratégiques majeurs sont la recherche de cultivars performants et la conception et la gestion d'un programme d'amélioration.
