Statoliths of adult lampreys: a metamorphosis mark? : beginning of validation by microchemistry for lampreys Petromyzon marinus and Lampetra fluviatilis

Statoliths are calcareous aggregations localized in the labyrinth of the lamprey's inner ear. Analogous to otoliths in fish, they can allow the determination of age according to the watersheds, more particularly the freshwater age.
