INFLUENCE DE LA SURFACE D'APPLICATION DE LA CHARGE SUR L'ESSAI DE FLUAGE INFLUENCE OF LOADING AREA ON THE CREEP TEST

Abstract : Compressive creep properties of a drainage geocomposite with a core having a thickness equal to 40mm subjected to a combination of shear stress and compressive stress was studied. The influence of the sample surface and the number of contact points together with the influence of the size of the loading platen were studied. The sample size was adapted so that the criteria given by NF EN 1897 as regards the number of contact points be satisfied. Results obtained tend to show that the number of contact points has to be identical on both sides of the sample and furthermore that the sample size has to be larger of a contact point length on the whole sample.
