This work deals with the fate of 17 xenobiotics (metals, pesticides, alkylphenols and pharmaceuticals) through six full-scale activated sludge treatment systems, analyzed with mass spectrometry detection techniques. The change of daily concentrations in wastewater, the removal performances on the soluble phase, the influence of operating parameters of the process, and the contribution of sludge dewatering system were studied.

Le travail présenté porte sur le comportement de 17 substances (familles des métaux, pesticides, alkylphenols et pharmaceutiques) au travers du procédé boues activées (6 stations réelles). Les substances ont été quantifiées avec des méthodes de spectrophotométrie de masse. La modification spatiale et temporelle des concentrations des substances dans les eaux usées, les performances de retrait du compartiment soluble en fonctionnement normal, l'influence de paramètres opérationnels de la filière eau du procédé, et le devenir dans la filière boue sont les quatre points qui ont été examinés.
