Utilisation de l'espace de Hough pour caractériser une projection centrifuge

Abstract : This article presents an alternative technique to characterise granule flows spread by spinning discs. The objective of the work is to control fertiliser spreading in agriculture in order to improve the quality of the spreading and reduce negative environmental effects. A traditional acquisition system is used to capture in the image the streaks due to the motion of the granules during the exposure time in the vicinity of the spinning disc. The combination of relationships derived from the geometrical analysis of the acquisition system, the kinematic study of the mechanical system and particularities of the Hough Transform, is implemented to extract relevant data from the Hough space. Therefore, the outlet velocity and the angular distribution of the fertiliser mass flow are directly deduced from the Hough space. Results are compared with those obtained with reference methods.
