Valorisation d’une ressource territoriale : le bois-énergie en Auvergne

Abstract : The use of fuelwood, fostered by public policies, is not necessarily a factor of sustainable development in the territories. The Benefits project describes the present conditions of the use of fuelwood in the Auvergne region, in order to identify possible brakes or undesired effects, which could justify incentive or regulating measures. The governance analysis enhances the problem of the cohabitation of units of very diverse dimensions and logics. The analysis of the impact of forest cuttings has showed the importance of the qualification of the loggers. The organization of supply chains suffers from the atomization of the suppliers, and of the variability of the quality of the products. It would justify to cluster the forest cuttings, and to develop labels of quality.
