Operation of MBBR and BAF to face drastic peak-loads (tourist resorts)

Gestion des procédés MBBR et biofiltration lors de variations de charges en zone touristiques de montagnes

Résumé

Municipalities located in ski resorts are now expected to remove nitrogen from wastewaters even under dramatic peak-loading rate. This work studies the efficiencies of various operating strategies of BAF (biological aerated filter) and MBBR (moving bed bioreactor) technologies set-up at full-scale plants.
