Résumé
This paper presents the IDEA method as a fact sheet. IDEA is a method for assessing the sustainability of a farm sustainability of a farm integrating the three dimensions of sustainability (agro-ecological, socio-economic and territorial). The scientific approach adopted to translate the concept of farm sustainability into a system of sustainability indicators is presented and The IDEA method, conceived as a self-assessment grid, is constructed around 42 indicators covering the three dimensions of sustainability in agriculture (agroecological, socio-territorial and economic). This fact sheet describes the general principles of the method, its advantages and weakness, and also its different way of using (by farmers, advisers and regulator also). Finally, it is providing a list of references on the method or having used the IDEA method.
Cette communication présente la méthode IDEA sous forme d’une fiche de synthèse. IDEA est une méthode d’évaluation de durabilité d'une exploitation agricole à partir de 42 indicateurs intégrant les trois dimensions de la durabilité (agro-écologique, socio-territoriale et économique). Cette fiche décrit les principes généraux de la méthode, ses avantages et limites, ses différents usages. Elle propose enfin une liste de références bibliographiques sur la méthode ou ayant utilisé la méthode.
