Larches (Larix sp.) : chap. 2

Abstract : This chapter dedicated to larch breeding successively first presents the geographic distribution and genetic variability of Larix decidua and Larix kaempferi secondly the breeding programmes and the main results obtained in Europe, both at the intra- and interspecific levels. Then, it describes the technical routes for improved variety mass production, through vegetative as well as generative ways. It ends with European-wide breeding perspectives.
