Le groupe Sciences en questions : un espace de réflexion sur les sciences à l’Inra

Abstract : Since 1994 the group “Sciences en questions”, created within the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (Inra), invites people engaged in scientific research to question the way science is done (theoretical constructions, debates, methods, materials, work organization, aims and discourses) and how science conceives its responsibility to society and the natural environment. The group freely selects topics and authors for conferences in the fields of philosophy, epistemology, sociology, anthropology or ethics. These are followed by a dialogue with the public. The whole is then transcribed and published by Quæ editions in the “Sciences en questions” series. This original approach and the resulting publications have been and are much appreciated by the public.
