Detection of wheat microsatellites using a non radioactive silver-nitrate staining method
Résumé
A fast and sensitive method for typing microsatellite polymorphisms in wheat is described. Results were usually obtained within one working day. Less than 100 pg of the amplified DNA could be revealed with this procedure. The high level of polymorphism, the rapidity of the technique, together with the genome specificity, make microsatellites a powerful tool for marker assisted selection in wheat.
