De la suppression des quotas laitiers à une contractualisation entre les producteurs et les transformateurs : quelles implications productives pour les éleveurs de l’Ouest ?

Abstract : The measures taken under the CAP "Health Check" include the abolition of milk quotas by 2015. Through the development of a “bio-economic model”, this paper discusses the productive and economic implications, for french dairy producers, of the implementation of a contractual system (between producers and industrials) of double volume (contract A and B) and double price. The model, used for four types of dairy farms, aims to maximize the farm's income, while taking into account a set of constraints: zootechnical, agronomic, structural, environmental and regulatory. The incentive to produce milk under contract B mainly depends on the method of pricing (variable or fixed) and substitution between agricultural production.
