Revue et identification de la diversité génétique Française et Européenne de Varroa Destructor, l'acarien parasite de l'abeille mellifère

Abstract : The ectoparasitic mite Varroa Destructor is one of the most harmful threats to the honeybee (Apis Mellifera) colonies. Its infestation causes a fall in the survival of colonies across the world. The use of genetics can be very useful to characterize mite populations in order to understand the history of colonization of the mite and apply an adapted strategy against this parasite. We carried out a review and a meta-analysis of all the data available on Varroa Destructor genetic diversity. Its distribution around the world is also presented. An analysis of the genetic diversity of bee colonies from France, Switzerland, New Zealand, the United States and the Netherlands has been carried out. Analysis of the mitochondrial DNA sequencing revealed the distribution of haplotypes in France with the highlighting of a particular genetic diversity in Corsica compared to the rest of the territory.
