Diagnostic de la paratuberculose : des outils et des pratiques

Abstract : Johne’s disease is a category 2 health risk (as indicated in French legislation) and is still very widespread among ruminants. It is a difficult disease to eradicate because of its specificity and control policies. Most analyses carried out today are ELISA tests, the result of which depends on the stage of the infection. It may become possible to detect sub-clinical cases with the development of novel tests. Promising leads include bacteriophage tests, interferon tests, transcriptomic analysis or Mycobacterium avium ssp. paratuberculosis protein microarray tests.
