Le Pôle Thématique National des Surfaces Continentales Theia: produits et services pour l'agriculture

Abstract : The French Land Data and Services consortium Theia aims to increase the use by the scientific community and public actors of spatial data in complementarity with other types of data, in particular in situ and airborne data. For several years, Theia has been providing national public actors, scientists (national and international) and private actors with data and value-added products from satellite remote sensing that complement the European Copernicus offer. Theia also aims to structure the national scientific community, to pool image data, processing and scientific expertise, and to make national achievements visible on an international scale. Theia constitutes an ecosystem of innovation at the service of research, public action and economic development in the fields of the environment, hydro and agro-systems and regional planning, in particular by providing data in France as well as in Europe and in countries in the South. Theia is a component of the Data Terra Research Infrastructure (IR) like the other three data consortia – Aeris (Atmosphere), Odatis (Ocean) and ForM@Ter (Solid Earth).
