Une approche cognitive co-constructiviste pour définir un service environnemental « bassin versant ». Cas de Tolongoina, Madagascar

Abstract : When setting-up a Payment for Water-related Environmental Service (PWES) scheme, the definition of the expected environmental services is an important step based on knowledge but is often left implicit. For the purpose of a hydropower project located in Madagascar in a conflictual context of deforestation, a research-action in partnership created the conditions for a cognitive rapprochement and a more explicit definition of environmental services, thanks to participative eco-hydrological studies, local knowledge mobilization, and multi-actor workshops. Followed by others studies and debates, this collective learning made it possible to include farmers in the scheme and facilitated the outcome of the first hydropower PWES in Madagascar.
