Le désherbage mécanique en culture de betterave

Abstract : Mechanical weeding is one of the main levers to achieve the goal of reducing the use of plant protection products by 50 % before 2025. Many equipments and weeding practices make it possible to reach the two objectives of chemical herbicides reduction and satisfactory weeding. Nowadays, mechanical weeding is a common practice in inter-rows to finish the weeding. Today, row and inter-row mechanical weeding should be considered as a complementary solution in addition to chemical herbicides. TFI reduction (Treatment Frequency Index) will be possible with different available equipments: from mechanical weeding in the row to localized band sprayers with chemical herbicides. New technologies should also open new studies
