Abstract

Various actions can be implemented to reduce water losses (Farley et al., 2008; Hamilton and Charamboulos, 2013). To help decision makers select the most relevant, INRAE (French public research institute), Veolia and Vedif (Water networks operators) worked together to study the effectiveness of water loss reduction measures. As part of this study, a method for predicting the impact of pipe replacement on water losses levels was developed and applied to the “Eaux De Loire” Water Supply System (EDL WSS).
