Abstract
This early evening meeting aims to provide a practical update on key areas of mare reproduction. Discussing evidence based methods to optimise fertility and improve conception, in addition to discussing the best approach to the use of progesterone in pregnancy. Included in the programme is a lecture on human infertility, providing an interesting comparative aspect and the opportunity to gain insight into techniques and concepts currently used in human reproduction. Well organised, good speakers which complemented each other. Also nice to catch up with colleagues from other practices. KEY LEARNING OBJECTIVES Develop an understanding of the presumptive epigenetic link between broodmare management and foal health. Update your knowledge on which treatments can be used to improve conception in mares. Develop a practical and evidence based approach to the use of progesterone in pregnancy.
