Abstract : The 36-month-long DIDRO project seeks to bring existing developments on remote sensing by drone on the scope of the project: dikes surveys as routine inspection or in relation to a flood crisis. Drone offers a new complementary means of surveying which can map broad areas efficiently while being more flexible and easier to operate than other airborne means. The system shall consist in a drone vector, in dedicated sensors (such as LiDAR, visible, near-infrared and thermal infrared optics), in data processing models with analytics specific to dikes surveying and finally in a GIS capitalizing all appropriate data to dikes managers.
