Efectos de la dispersión ultrasónica en suspensiones de suelos

Abstract : The effect of ultrasonic dispersion on different Argentine soil suspensions are studied. Dispersion efficiency was compared to that obtained by the peroxide-calgon method. The observed effects are discuted on the basis if the dispersing reaction proposed by Edwards. A method for preparing soil samples using ultrasonic vibration for particle-size determinations is obtained. The proposed method reduces pretreatment time, less amount of reagents are needed and a better dispersion efficiency is obtained.
