Ultrasound monitoring of fetal and placental growth and vascularisation in the rabbit

Résumé

The rabbit is a good animal model for biomedical research on pregnancy, particularly because of its hemochorial placentation close to human. Compared to rodents, the size of the rabbit alIows the use of the same ultrasound equipment as in human medicine, but detailed biometric values are so far lacking.
