Regardless the success achieved in the rearing of natural or factitious hosts for the mass production of natural enemies, the usual need to rear two different species when producing natural enemies based on in vivo rearing systems stimulated the investigation on their artificial rearing. In this chapter we review the development of artificial rearing system for egg parasitoids and discuss the constraints and the future directions involved in the successful development of this rearing system for egg parasitoids.
