Welcome to the HAL INRAE collection of the ODR Service Unit

The ODR service unit, part of the EcoSocio department, maintains an integrated information system (IS) on agricultural systems and policies (SISPA). This SISPA is based on close collaborations with research teams, public and professional partners, making a significant contribution to the institute's policy of partnership and support for public policies and research in several disciplines. It is accessible via a web platform (, approved by INRAE's Information Systems Security (ISS) team.

The US ODR is responsible for the statistical and spatial formatting and processing of data used in expert appraisal and research work on the characterization of agricultural systems at different scales and their environmental, economic and social performance, in relation to political, socioeconomic and biophysical determinants.

The unit's main areas of work are CAP evaluation, agriculture-environment interactions (land use, plant protection products and other agricultural practices, the state of agricultural ecosystems and ecosystem services), quality labels (organic farming, geographical indications, red labels) and agricultural demographics and employment. Thanks to its expertise in data integration and processing, the US ODR has positioned itself as a resource center for the analysis of agricultural policies and systems, and has been awarded the INRAE Collective Scientific Infrastructure label in 2020. The unit is part of the "Dispositifs pérennes d'appui aux politiques publiques" (DPAPP) (permanent public policy support units) monitored by the INRAE DAPP.
