Visualisation des zones estuariennes fréquentées par les juvéniles d'esturgeon, compréhension des migrations

Abstract : During 23 month we have used a stratified sampling plan according to space and time in the Gironde estuary. Sampling have been performed with trawl and completed with trammel nets. We have distinguished the tows according to their direction, the sense of the flow and the tide moment. In 629 tows we have captured 374 Acipenser sturio, this correspond to CPUE of 0.59 sturgeon by tow. Over the whole period it appears that two zones are more frequented than the others, they are located respectively at 18 and 38 km of the mouth and they distinguish from the other by a greater protection against current. Young sturgeons are in downstream migration, but their movements vary during the seasons, in summer some head upstream and in winter they head downstream.
