Development of the tracer gas ratio method to measure GHG from livestock manure during storage

Résumé

Estimation of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) from storage of livestock manure have been made at laboratory or by using chamber techniques, which are point specific and interfere with conditions at the slurry-atmosphere interface. The aim of this work was to developed a method without environmental interference called «tracer gas ratio method». The tracer ratio method was successfully calibrated. The method was used to monitor GHG emissions during the storage of cattle slurry and cattle FYM over a 10 months period.
