Conséquences de la forêt méditerranéenne sur les écoulements de crue

Abstract : Research on the effects of forest on river flooding in Frances's mediterranean regions has been conducted based on experiments in three catchment areas. Results display considerable differences from one area to another, highlighting the complexity of the nexus rainfall-flowrates. It should be noted that an increase in extreme flooding is far from being clear in every case. Reflecting on overall hydrological behaviour in the catchment areas has enabled researchers to explain the apparent contradiction in the results obtained.
