Heat and moisture transfers in closed cavity representing domestic refrigerator
Transfers de chaleur et d'humidité dans une cavité close représentant un réfrigérateur domestique
Résumé
This study was carried out in order to understand the heat and moisture transfers by natural convection in domestic refrigerators. To achieve this objective, both experimental and numerical approaches were used. Experiment was undertaken in a refrigerator model. To enhance the moisture transport during experiment, a water tub was placed at the bottom of the cavity. The air temperature and humidity inside the refrigerator model were measured at the central axis of the cavity over several heights. The experimental data were used to compare with the numerical results obtained by CFD simulation. The hypothesis used for this simulation is laminar transient 2D-flow. Relatively good agreement was obtained between experimental and numerical results.
