This document is the final report on the evaluation of the tasks of the workpackage 3. It gives results and analysis of the displacements estimated by tracking approaches from 2D turbulent shear flows particle/scalar image sequences and from meteorological image sequences. Comparisons with correlation techniques are provided. Three approaches are evaluated: VORTEX, a stochastic filtering technique for fluid flows velocity fields tracking (Cuzol et al., 2007); ASSIM, a data assimilation technique to track velocity fields (Papadakis et al., 2007); COROF2, a dynamic consistent correlation-variational approach (Héas et al., 2007; Heitz et al., 2007).
