Design of a new circulation loop and heat transfer of CO2 hydrate slurry

Dimensionnement d'une nouvelle boucle de circulation et transfert thermique de coulis d'hydrates de CO2

Résumé

The major objective of this work is to present a conceptual design of a refrigeration system in which clathrate hydrate slurry is used as a two-phase secondary fluid. The new circulation loop allow to form and to dissociate continuously, with a tank reactor and heat exchangers, CO2 hydrate slurries for secondary refrigeration applications. The paper summarizes and describes the different elements which composed the new loop. In order to determinate the convective heat transfer coefficient of this secondary refrigerant with gas/water phase change, an experimental set-up was built and presented in this paper.
