Construction of digital elevation models of the environment with lightweight airborne radar: Simulation results

Résumé

There is a growing need for lightweight airborne platforms that could provide precise information about the environment even in degraded visual conditions. Due to its wavelength, microwave radar provides an alternative solution to overcome the shortcomings of optical solutions. A simulator is developed to define the main parameters of future airborne radars.
