Principes de réalisation d’un fond cartographique pour la carte des végétations de France

Abstract : CarHab the program carried by the MEDDE, aims to achieve a national mapping of natural vegetation and land Semi-natural in France at a 1:25 scale 000. The first stage of the program, spread over the period 2011-2014 should Methodological framework (data mobilization, treatments, field tests). The next step planned for the period 2015-2025 will be the deployment of tools and methods for the realization of the final map. The project is based on a partnership between targeted organizations (Irstea, MNHN, IGN, Federation of National Botanical Conservatories, Universities); It is organized into several committees that combine specific skills by major types of environment (forest, open environments, coastal areas, etc.). These skills include both advanced spatial analysis techniques (remote sensing, GIS, modeling ...) and naturalistic knowledge of the vegetation (phytosociologists botanical conservatories, universities, SFP ...).
