How to significantly reduce pesticide use: An empirical evaluation of the impacts of pesticide taxation associated with a change in cropping practice

(..)The first part of the paper is devoted to the presentation of the economic model and the results of the econometric estimations conducted on data representing the behaviors of farmers using conventional cropping practices. In the second part, we present the agronomic data and the estimated changes in themodel parameters induced by a switch from conventional to low-input cropping practices. The third part is devoted to the presentation of the simulations results, followed by a conclusion.
