In the context of an increasing interest in agriculture for renewable energy and in particular for anaerobic digestion, a careful analysis often underlines the difficulty in reaching an economic balance, due to a large extent to the French electricity tariff regarding agricultural biogas, which remained until now relatively low. This project gathered AILE, CRAB, IDELE, ITAVI, SOLAGRO and TRAME and was managed by IFIP- pork institute. The aim was to develop a simulator common to the main livestock productions (cattle, poultry, porcine, goat, sheep, rabbit, horse). It makes it possible to estimate the technical and economic interests of anaerobic digestion, according to the characteristics and prospects for farms changes, choice of inputs, process of anaerobic digestion and cost of purchasing electricity. Particular attention was paid to the different modes of valorization of thermal energy which derived fromthis process. It will be made possible through the implementation of investigations into the consumption of energy in breeding. In order to make this calculator, the technical teams used, in particular, a basic module under development jointly by SOLAGRO, AILE and TRAME, but also on other models which were available both in France and abroad. The project implemented, optimized or developed these basic modules. The calculator obtained, will be validated by observations carried out on units currently under operation or which will be in operation very soon. The investigations within the framework of this project will make it possible to set up activities of communication and training, in particular, on the basic conditions necessary for installation of a unit of anaerobic digestion in farms, and will make it possible to easily see the potential of interesting projects.
Dans le contexte d’un intérêt croissant de l’agriculture pour les énergies renouvelables et notamment pour la méthanisation, les études de projet soulignent souvent la difficulté d’atteindre l’équilibre économique, en raison des tarifs français d’achat de l’électricité issue du biogaz agricole qui demeuraient jusqu’à présent peu élevés. Le projet, mené par AILE, CRAB, IDELE, ITAVI, SOLAGRO,TRAME et piloté par l’IFIP-institut du porc, a consisté à développer un outil de calcul de la rentabilité d’un projet de méthanisation agricole, commun aux principales productions animales (bovines, avicoles, porcines, ovines, caprines, cunicoles, équines). Il permet de calculer l’intérêt technique et économique de la méthanisation selon notamment le choix des intrants, le procédé de méthanisation, le coût d’achat de l’électricité... Une attention particulière a été portée aux modes de valorisation de l’énergie thermique compte tenu de la bonification prévue dans la politique tarifaire. Pour l’élaboration de ce calculateur, les partenaires se sont d’abord appuyés sur un module de base développé conjointement par Solagro, Aile et Trame mais également sur d’autres modèles qui étaient disponibles tant en France qu’à l’étranger. Les investigations dans le cadre de ce projet ont permis de mettre en place des actions decommunication et de formation notamment sur les pré-requis indispensables à la mise en place d’une unité de méthanisation en élevage.
