Un premier pas vers la compréhension des données biologiques.

Abstract : Although the quality of soils has to be managed, knowledge about soil functioning remains incomplete particularly because the biological components at the center of the whole transformation process of the organic matter remains to be described. The objective of this essay is to demonstrate the interest of a multi-parameter approach in order to utilise the micro-organisms as indicators of the state of soils. Cellular, molecular and membrane markers of the microbial communities (bacteria and fungi) have been proposed in order to determine the abundance of these organisms under different natural (climate, soil status) and anthropogenic (grassland, cultivated land) constraints. The measurement of these structural markers was completed by measuring the enzymatic activities with the aim of understanding the eventual links between structure and function. Multiway analysis of variance (ANOVA) has allowed the quantification of the impact of environmental factors studied on the measured markers. Coupled with correlation analysis between the different markers, this work proposes elements for reflection concerning the choice of pertinent indicators of the state of the soil.
