Les chaînes de Markov spatialisées comme outils de simulation.

Abstract : The knowledge of land use and cover changes occurring during the past decades is of primary importance in modelling current ecological patterns and processes. A set of computer routines based on Markov Chains analysis and Cellular Automata have been developed within the IDRISI GIS environment. These tools have special link with Multicriteria analysis to take into consideration experts'data on land-cover dynamics. We explore these available tools for simulating future Land Use and Cover Changes in French agricultural landscape and evaluate the consequences on dynamics on birds' diversity.
