Elaboration du rendement et fertilisation azotée du blé d’hiver en Champagne crayeuse I. - Protocole et méthode d’étude d’un problème technique régional

Abstract : The object of this paper is to present the methodology chosen to study (a) the causes of variation of the yield of winter wheat in Champagne crayeuse and (b) possibilities involved in the application of the predictive balance method to determine nitrogen fertilization rates. We retained a multiannual and multilocal design, combining different types of experimental and survey plots and ensuring possibilities of comparison between all the observed plots (fig. 2). Observed datas (tabl. 4) were selected according to a yield elaboration diagram (fig. 3). The grain number per unit area is considered as an essential criterion to evaluate nitrogen fertilization efficiency. The conclusion discusses the advantages of this procedure for regional field diagnosis.
