Une pompe biologique performante : contribution des racines fines d'arbres forestiers dans le dessèchement des couches argileuses de sol lors d'épisodes de sécheresse

Abstract : Seven forest tree species were studied under drought conditions (water loss regulation and root distribution). Soil was characterized by an enriched clay-layer at 50 cm depth. The species the less affected by the drought, llike oak trees, were able to develop into the clay player and uptake water in this horizon during summer soil water deficit.
