The Egg-parasites of Diaprepes abbreviatus (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) in the French West Indies

Résumé

The egg parasitoids of Citrus weevil Diaprepes abbeviatus of Guadeloupe and Martinique (FWI) are mentionned. Six species of Hymenoptera in three families (Eulophidae: Aprostocetus gala, Aprostocetus haitiensis, Aprostocetus sp., Eutetrastichus fennahi; Trichogrammatidae: Ceratogramma etiennei and Plastygastridae: Fidiobia citri) have been now indexed. The first five species are confirmed to be primary parasites of egg masses of Diaprepes abbreviatus but the host of the last species F. citri is not stated precisely. A few aspect of biology of some of these parasite are given. A general repartition of all the egg parasitoids of Citrus weevils known in the Caribbean region is indicated.
