Bilan des mises en oeuvre de protocoles réalisés sur l'étang des Aulnes dans le cadre du projet « restauration hydromorphologique des plans d'eau »

Abstract : Littoral zones of freshwater ecosystems are characterized by an important heterogeneity of habitat and host a high biodiversity. These ecosystems, which provide many ecosystem services, are subject to numerous physical alterations of anthropogenic origin. These alterations lead to strong pressures for biological communities. In France, even if restorations and mitigation work have been undertaken to reduce these anthropogenic impacts, there is in general no well-documented feedback about their efficiency. Frequently a lack of standardized monitoring is noticed. Since 2016, the research and development pole AFB-Irstea "Hydroécologie des plans d'eau" develops a project to monitor the impact of lake littoral hydromorphological restoration. It aims to propose a framework to harmonize restoration work monitoring at the national scale. To this end, a methodological guide is being drafted. It provides a standardized method and operational monitoring protocols for lake managers, engineering consultant and organization aiming at assess the impact of these actions. Tests have been implemented as part of this project to help enhancement of the method and protocols optimization. This report provides an overview of the experiments carried out between 2016 and 2018.
