Abstract : Thanks to a simple analysing tool, this research brought some elements of response to the double problematic that is called " actor drainage, witness drainage of nitrate washing". It also tried to use and reduce the big quantity of available experimental and bibliographic data on nitrate washing. The first step of experimental and typological characterisation of washing processes allows to define this analysing tool in a way that matches an approach, which is centred around the hydraulic running of drained soils. Biological factors play an important role in drainage interseason. A step of theory development allows then to explain the hydraulic mechanism of transfer that leads the hydraulic logics of washing in drained soils. The attention is especially given to the discussion on phenomena of transfer called "preferential". It also underlines the role of the layer drained by the washing. The theory approach is followed by the definition of simplified and effective functions of stock washing. The test of applicability in situ of these effective functions of stock washing leads to propose some adaptations that will be checked on later on site, to confirm the relative universality of dominating processes of stock washing for studied experiments.
