Mécanismes de remontée capillaire en nappe superficielle. Analyse des hypothèses du modèle de flux limite

Abstract : Water flow, which can be transmitted by the soil between a shallow water table and the soil surface, is of interest in the management of water resources and irrigated areas durability. In steady state regime, this flux is classically estimated by resolving Darcy's law; therefore one admits that capillary rise process is done in a liquid and isothermal process. The equation's solution shows an asymptote: for a given soil and water table depth, there is a maximal flux independent of soil surface conditions. We study the effect of vapour diffusion and soil-atmosphere coupling on capillary flux both from measures on soil column and calculations based on heat and mass transfer in soil and atmosphere. We show that Darcy's law is suitable for the estimation of this flux especially since the diurnal climatic variations are without consequences on the mean flux.
