Flood simulation using rain-flow modelling
This note deals with the "design flood" of a small watershed. The method used is the simulation of hour hyetograms over a long period (here 1000 years), then the transformation into flow using a rain-flow model of conceptual type; this leads to various flood scenarii. We leave the traditional framework, which gives the same recurrence to all descriptive parameters of a project flow (peak flow and volume), by presenting an hydrogram collection which will be used for the computation of installations: influence of flood fields, rolling in a dam... The results obtained, after simulation of the installation functioning, can then be used frequentially. This method is under development, and will be used in the future at the regional level on non-gauged watersheds.
