Analyse de la richesse piscicole de quatre ensembles hydrographiques français

Abstract : The analysis of the variations in the variety of autochtonous fish species along the four longitudinal gradients of the four French hydrographical complexes shows an upstream-downstream increase found in all the basins of a given type (large basins of the Seine and Rhône and coastal rivers in Brittany and Languedoc Roussillon). The specific varieties are the same upstream (0 to 4km from the source) and differ significantly downstream. In the two large basins, the slope is the primary explanation of the variation in the variety of autochtonous species, followed by distance to the source, altitude and width. On a larger space scale, the geographical positionning (latitude) does not have any meaningful effect. In these basins, the variety of autochtonous species would first be regulated by local conditions and by zonation.
