Analyse de l'évolution de la population d'éperlan (Osmerus eperlanus) de 1976 à 1996 dans l'estuaire de la Gironde : examen particulier de l'action de la température

Abstract : This study constitutes the first interpretation of the evolution of Osmerus eperlanus population in the Gironde estuary. It is based on data collected by the CEMAGREF and EDF between 1981 and 1996 within the framework of the follow-up of the Nuclear power station of Blayais. Mortality and relation stock-recruitment were explored to try to highlight the action of the temperature on the population. Mortality at the youthful stage doesn't change, on the other hand mortality between the youthful stage and the adult stage increases throughout the time of the study without however showing correlation with the temperature. The relation stock recruitment indicates a clear relation between the number of spawners and those of their progenies and doesn't make it possible to highlight a negative action of the temperature on the reproduction. The most probable hypothesis to explain the evolution observed is that of a complex action of the temperature on the dynamics of this population by the slowing down of the growth, involving a swing of an ecological cycle with a reproduction at 1 year towards a cycle with a reproduction at 2 years.
